OUR ROLE
We are looking for experienced Company Controller to join our Financial Accounting team in Group Business Services.
This hybrid position is permanent and based in Espoo, Finland.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS GROUP
Responsibilities:
In Group Business Services Finance unit you work closely with Group Finance, Business Finance and with other Finance teams in Group Business Services as well as with auditors. You will ensure the compliance of legal entities and drive development initiatives. In this role your main responsibilities include overseeing general ledger, fixed asset and VAT accounting as well as continuous development of financial accounting in Group Business Services.
  • Oversee general ledger, fixed asset and VAT accounting and support financial accounting teams in accounting related topics
  • Preparing and ensuring accuracy of monthly, interim and annual reporting to group in compliance with group guidelines and policies
  • Continuous improvement in financial accounting area. Acting, driving and implementing development initiatives, such as automation/RPA, efficient utilization of reporting tools and excel
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and participating in tax reporting
  • Continuous and proactive collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Contribution towards operational excellence
WHO YOU ARE
You are proactive and maintain positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn new. You also have development mindset and you continuously improve ways of working. You have ability to see the big picture without losing details. As a person you have excellent team working skills and precise working style. Working under pressure with flexibility is familiar to you.
Experience:
  • Business/Accounting degree e.g. BBA or MBA
  • Several years of experience as chief accountant, financial controller or a similar role
  • Deep knowledge of Finnish Accounting Standards and tax regulations. Competencies in IFRS is an advantage
  • Experience from interim and annual reporting to group is regarded as an asset
  • Good understanding of accounting and tax processes and strong analytical skills
  • Understanding and experience of automation especially RPA is an advantage
  • Development and quality-oriented mindset
  • Good communication skills both in Finnish and English
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
