Title: Principal Scientist, Product Development, P&HS EMEA

We are now looking for a Principal Scientist or Senior Research Scientist to join our Espoo research center Sizing & Molded Fiber team in Business Unit Packaging & Hygiene Solutions. You will work in research projects and customer cases supporting the development of chemistries suitable for molded fiber products. You will be participating in planning and executing research and development projects and tasks together with the rest of the team and in close cooperation with other Kemira stakeholders.

What you need:

• Academic degree (M.Sc./PhD) in the area of chemical engineering, chemistry, biomaterials, or other relevant field of technology, and preferably at least about 8 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience with molded fiber packaging, food packaging, dispersion barriers, and/or converting — along with hands-on involvement in laboratory work or pilot trials — is beneficial for success in this role.
• You are used to performing experimental work and guiding technical personnel.
• Strong commitment and drive to further develop both safety and quality culture.
• You have an innovative and research-oriented attitude and passion to solve problems, with the courage to drive constant improvement by challenging the existing status and identifying new ways of working.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.
